"BBC apologises to Queen over Abu Hamza disclosure"
BBC Radio 4 listeners heard Mr Gardner say how the Queen had told him, in a private meeting, how she had been upset that Abu Hamza could not be arrested.'The Queen was pretty upset that there was no way to arrest him. She couldn't understand – surely there must be some law that he broke,' Mr Gardner said.
The BBC and Mr Gardner have now accepted that the conversation should have remained private and have apologised as such in a letter to Buckingham Palace.
BBC said it was 'wholly inappropriate' to discuss the issue
BBC says Frank is extremely sorry for the embarrassment caused and has apologised to the palace."
This shows how far journalists can go to make a story intresting and appealing to audiences. The largest broadcaster in the world BBC offending the queen's private conversations , if a BBC journalist can expose a private conversation with the queen what relliability does BBC have now about keeping privacy about any other conversations.
